Our Story

We are family owned and operated, we grew up boating and swimming on the Kanawha River and Summersville Lake. A passion for boating early on made for years of fun in the sun. We wanted to make those amazing memories accessible to others. Wild and Wonderful explains boating in our beautiful state so well and its always an adventure.

We noticed other major cities surrounding the capital city of Charleston had boating rentals so locals and tourists can see the area from a different vantage point and have a blast while doing so, that's why we decided it was time to bring that here close to home. We also noticed a need for modern and better equipped boats for Summersville Lake so people can have a more luxurious and pleasant experience and will want to come back time and time again.

We firmly believe in giving back more than what you take and that's why a huge part of our business is volunteering with local municipalities to do cleanups and refurbishing of water access points as well as helping keep our water clean of trash and respecting the wildlife.
